There was once a magical wishing well. It would grant a wish to anyone who threw a cold coin into tit water. However, because it was rather a mischievous well its wishes never turned out the way people expected.

"I wish I was taller," said a young girl, throwing a gold penny in to the well.

FIIIPPPP!

The next moment, a ladder stood next to the puzzled girl. "This won't make me taller!" shouted the girl into the wishing well.

"Yes, it will," replied the wishing well, giving a chuckle. "Stand on the top rung and you'll be taller."
